Composer/ Perforrmer
Dr Nicholas Duggan, has always been a composer first and foremost and his work is often inspired by stories, experiences and observations. His style is difficult to categorise, inspired by Bach, Part, Metheny and Jarrett. As you explore his music, you will discover that he composes music that offers overwhelming emotional power and poignancy.
Although he is known mostly for his compositional work, he has also performed professionally playing the Viola, The Double Bass and the Classical Guitar in such venues as Buckingham Palace, The Royal Albert Hall and Wembley Stadium.

Nicholas has won a number of prestigious awards for composition and was selected for the symposium for 21st Century Musicians presented on Saturday September 13, 2014 at Carolina Meadows, Chapel Hill, North Carolina., for his music score for:

He has extensive experience as a Composer, Arranger, Conductor, Educator, and Performer. He earned his PhD in Music Composition from Bangor University, Wales, UK in 2013.

Nicholas started teaching Classical guitar at 14 years old. After completing Music College with a distinction in Classical Guitar and a Composers prize under his belt, he ran his own instrumental teaching school before taking up Music teaching positions in Kenya, Thailand, Kuwait, Italy, Spain, China and most recently India. As Head of Music he has introduced school-wide instrumental programmes and music teaching initiatives that engaged students as critical thinkers. He has directed and conducted numerous orchestras, ensembles and musicals. While in China, Nicholas worked with People's Education Press (PEP) a specialized publishing house directly under the leadership of the Ministry of Education assisting in producing materials for music teaching programmes across China.
Following a career as a Music educator, Nicholas moved to educational leadership as a Head of Centre, Head of Secondary schools, Principal and Headmaster.
